Before diving right in, I would like you to know a little something about me!

Who exactly is Yashithi Dharmawimala?

Facts would say she's just an undergraduate at the University of Colombo, School of Computing.

Some would say she's an announcer, a volunteer...

Some would say she's a good friend, a bitch, an enthusiast, a narcissist, a fighter, a hyperactive, an activist, a hater, a lover, an extrovert, an intorvert...

And countless other labels.

To what extent are these labels real, you ask me? I'd say all of it.

But to what extent do these labels actually represent who I am as an individual? I'd say none.

I'm a firm believer that we as humans take different forms of our personalities when we interact with different people. So while one would refer to me as a good friend, one could actually call me a bitch. In fact I know a few of my closest friends who immediately judged me to be a big headed person but by association got to know the real me.

So in conclusion all the above labels are real because it's how people perceived me to be.

But does it represent who I am as an individual? I highly doubt it cause truth be told, I personally don't believe in labels.

| Labels given by people who has no idea about our personal story, don't get to define who we are as human beings!

So who exactly is Yashithi Dharmawimala beyond the labels?

I'm just another 21 year old who is figuring out life just like the rest of you'll out there!

A daughter, a sister, a friend, a shoulder to lean on, another human!
